Many of the letter contain references to people, places, names, and foreign terms that might be confusing to the readers. As I come across such names and terms, I’ll try to update this glossary. Some names of famous people and companies might not be common knowledge today (e.g., TWA). Similarly, while most of English language readers are familiar with “Ramadan”, they aren’t familiar with the Farsi version “Ramazon”, which Vonda uses in her letters.
Not all people referenced in letters are noted as I might not have clear understanding of who they are. If there is a name or term you would like to see included in this glossary, just shoot me a request.
As I expect this glossary list to expand, the filter of “people” vs “terms” might be useful.
