About the Adornos
Vonda and Bill met as young single adults in the late 1950s in Kabul, Afghanistan. Each was working in their first overseas job. They got married and had 3 children. Then spent the next 50 years traveling the globe living in far flung places. I plan to use this web site to share many letters that the Adornos (mostly Vonda) sent home describing their lives in these various places. I realize in this day and age of nugget reads and instagram, that reading letters might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, I'm putting these out there for the few that do find this sort of reading interesting. If you do enjoy the letters, please drop me a note. Alternatively, to help others identify particularly enjoyable letters, please use the comment section below each letter.
